New County Administrator - Randy R. Keaton

The Board of Supervisors is pleased to announce that Mr. Randy R. Keaton is appointed as the next County Administrator of Isle of Wight County, effective September 1, 2016. Mr. Keaton is a strong professional with significant experience in budget and finance, debt financing, development and management of inter-local agreements, regional collaboration, economic development, water and sewer system development and operation, solid waste management and planning.
Mr. Keaton’s professional experience includes over 33 years of public service in County government and regional planning. Since 2013, he has served as the Deputy Executive Director of the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission.
Mr. Keaton’s local government experience includes 26 years as the County Manager of Pasquotank County, North Carolina. Additionally, he previously served as County Manager and Finance Officer of Perquimans County, North Carolina. His public sector experience began as the Register of Deeds, Budget Officer, and Clerk to the Board of Camden County, North Carolina.

Sept 30 thru Oct 5, 2015: There were multiple weather events impacting Isle of Wight County and preparedness is very important. The County provided some basic information regarding preparedness and ways for citizens to stay informed as the weather system progresses.
